Patient Testimonials

"I found Greg during a really challenging time when I was being told that my last option was to have risky nerve surgery to try to remedy the entrapments I had.  Not only was Greg able to help alleviate the nerve pain, he addressed other issues I had going on.  Counter strain technique has truly changed my life and solved 'unsolvable' problems without risky intervention. Greg has delightful bedside manner, listens well, and is highly skilled in his craft.  His office staff are friendly and organized, easy to schedule and work with." L.M. Bend, OR

"My Success Story"

What symptoms were you experiencing prior to coming to Green Ridge Physical Therapy & Wellness?

  • Unpleasant discomfort in hip joint which then affected both knee and ankle joints. Arthritis set in hip joint. Walked with a decided limp. Hip problem result of trip up/splits five months before therapy. Primary doctor approved a cortisone shot at beginning of therapy.

What level of improvement have you seen?

  • 95-98%, almost back to walking at my natural gait.

Please share how Green Ridge Physical Therapy & wellness helped you heal:

  • Certain exercises and walking daily were given me to do. Discovered I felt tremendously better when I did them. That and therapist explaining how exercises and walking helped my problem made me want to do them (ordinarily, I do not like to exercise or walk). The few times I regressed to miserable discomfort (not doing exercises or walking) therapist removed pain at next therapy session. Recovery required once weekly sessions in five months.

Do you have any other comments about your experience with us?

  • During each session with therapist I left feeling better than when I arrived. She gave me the feeling that she was pleased to be helping me. I looked forward to my appointments with her. Everyone that I spoke with at Green Ridge was so very pleasant and friendly, especially the women who made the appointments tried their best to accommodate me in choice of appointment time, not easy, they are busy.

“After being run over by a car, I sustained severe injuries including two femur breaks, a broken hand, torn meniscus, traumatic brain injury (TBI)  and insomnia. Being on a walker for months caused chronic low back pain. Several weeks after the accident because of all the trauma and/or surgeries, I developed complex regional pain disorder (CRPS) which affected my shoulders, elbows, hands and feet. I was having lots of tingling, swelling, and a purple mottling in my limbs. I started struggling with severe ADD, depression, and PTSD. None of which I had ever had before.
A friend told me about Greg Zadow's Counterstrain technique and thought I could be helped with some residual problems I was still experiencing several years after the incident. While I was mostly no longer limping (unless the back was super flared up), I was somewhat unsteady on my feet. The low back pain would never go away, lots of tingling and numbness in my right hand, ulner entrapment on both elbows, daily headaches, and continued PTSD, ADD, and memory problems.
Greg is a miracle worker who has helped me so much in such a short amount of time. Now my back only hurts when I over do it which does happen sometimes because I'm trying to make up for lost time! My neuropathies have all improved as well as my brain issues and anxiety. The last time I was there I was just starting to get a headache and he took it completely away and I haven't had one since!
I can dance again, hike, and even took a solo camping road trip which would have been physically and psychologically impossible for me 6 months ago. I am feeling much more like the happy go lucky and adventurous person I have always been!
It is hard to explain to someone about Counterstrain because to me it feels like magic. Greg palpates to find tender spots and then his hands just do these miraclous subtle movements. It is a gentle relaxing technique and yet extemely powerful. I feel so good and energized after my treatments. Greg has to remind me to lay low for a few days and let my body and mind absorb the healing. Now that is exactly what I do even though it is hard because I always feel so awesome! Greg and Counterstrain have been a blessing in my life. Thank you again for all you have done for me.” D.D., Bend OR
